Last month, I traded in my 1934 portable because the line space lever was beginning to wear out. Today, I found a beautiful 1936 Royal Model O, with its instructions, the cleaning brush, and its carrying case, in beautiful condition. These pictures were taken
before cleaning the typewriter and its case.
The manual was last revised in April, 1936

Best way to clean old paintwork is with brasso. you may need to do it 3-4 times but the paintwork will come up like new.
